Justin Yu
From Brooklyn New York to Doha
Born and raised in New York, Michelin-trained Justin has worked alongside some of the best-known names on the US culinary scene including David Chang’s Momofuku Group and James Syhabout’s respected two-star Michelin restaurant Commis in Oakland, California.
He also worked in several different locations for the acclaimed Michel Mina Group including MINA Brasserie in Dubai. Arriving in Doha in 2018, most recently, Justin was Executive Chef at CUT Doha by Wolfgang Puck at the Mondrian Doha.
The M Doha is Justin’s first solo venture and seeks to redefine the still emerging dining scene in Doha. With the city’s first Chef Table as well as a stylish bar and main dining room, Justin taps into Qatar’s own fresh produce and food traditions to bring a fresh and modern approach to classic dishes.
